University College Utrecht

University College Utrecht (UCU) is the international Honors College of Utrecht University. It offers students a residential setting in which the foundations are laid for their academic and/or professional careers. UCU is a small and selective College of 650 students within Utrecht University. Located conveniently between the two Utrecht University sites, it has its own residential campus in a pleasant part of the historic city of Utrecht. At most 400 students are Dutch; the others cover a wide range of nationalities. University College Utrecht is located about 10 minutes by bicycle (or bus) from the city center of Utrecht

Why stay at the University College?

	•	The University is a place where members of the ISPA can come together after the activities during the day. It is a place where everyone can take a seat, have a drink and chat together.
	•	In every bedroom (all non-smoking) is a bed and a closet. There is an internet connection in every room so if you bring your laptop it is possible to access the internet there. The rooms are located in a unit, where you share a bathroom, a kitchen and a nice comfortable room with a dining table, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a sink and two benches to relax.

At the University College are two rooms available with both 20 computers. These computers (with an internet connection) can be used for free.

On the campus of the University College Utrecht, there’s a possibility to park your car.

If there are enough registrations of people who want to stay at the University College Utrecht there will be organized extra activities.

•

The price you have to pay for a room is very reasonable regarding the things which are included. You get breakfast every morning, you receive sheets, blankets, a pillow, towels, an access pass (which allows you to enter the premises 24 hours a day), shampoo and soap. During your stay at the University College the rooms will be cleaned once (including the sheets) and the sanitary will be cleaned every day.

The University College Utrecht is easy to reach with the Public Transport. From Central Station Utrecht it only takes 10 minutes by bus and from there another 11 minutes by foot.

From Schiphol Airport to Utrecht Central Station:

The best way to travel from Schiphol Airport to Utrecht is by train.

Trains from Schiphol to Utrecht are direct trains. They leave every half an hour (0.15 and 0.45). Travel time is 30 minutes.
The entire trip (one way) costs € 7.30 (second class) or € 12.40 (first class).

From Utrecht Central Station to UCU by Bus:

From the railwaystation you take a city bus (line 4, direction Fockema Andrealaan). Exit at the Prins Hendriklaan bus stop, follow the Prins Hendriklaan (streetname) in the direction of the underpass, shortly after which you will see the entrance to the University College campus on your right. Malie Hotel ****
The Hampshire Classic Malie Hotel is located among the tree-lined avenues of the stately Maliebaan, a stone's throw from the city centre. The hotel is situated behind a 19th century facade with a spacious garden and terrace. The tastefully decorated breakfast area overlooks the garden. All rooms have air conditioning and have recently been renovated. The hotel also offers a welcoming Imperator Bar. The hotel offers limited parking space.

Mitland Hotel ****
Situated on the outskirts of Utrecht five minutes' drive from the city centre. Mitland Hotel Utrecht has 135 luxuriously furnished rooms and 15 spacious apartments for extended visits, is situated in a splendid park and offers a wonderful view of the old 'De Bilt fortress'.

Hotel De Biltse Hoek ****
Hotel De Biltsche Hoek is located in the vicinity of the Houdringhe woods and close to the hustle and bustle of the city of Utrecht. The hotel has 101 rooms, and a restaurant, an attractive sun lounge and cosy bar as well as an indoor swimming pool.

The hotel has smoking as well as non-smoking rooms and a non-smoking restaurant.

Hotel De Biltsche Hoek is situated between Zeist and Utrecht in the centre of the Netherlands, very close to the Utrecht University and its hospital.

Steyn Hotel ***
A gracious and warm feeling we want for our guests at the Steyn Hotel. Situated in the centre of Zeist, close to the shops, public transport and the beautiful surroundings of the 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug'. The characteristic building has been recently restored and has 23 rooms. Breakfast included, half board possible. The Steyn Hotel has a sociable bar for a snack or a drink. Bicycle rent and bicycle routes are present. The rooms have their own bathroom with shower, free wireless internet access, telephone and television.

Apollo Hotel Utrecht City Centre ****
Apollo Hotel Utrecht is located in de city centre, at the Vredenburgplein. This location is perfect when you want to visit the city, and is easy to reach by public transport.
